BMAG Conservators Making an Interactive for Kids for Anglo-Saxon Day Feb 16th

Conservators Deborah Cane, Deborah Magnoler and Cymbeline Storey have been getting muddy in order to make a fun interactive for kids!

This video shows the Hoard conservation team preparing for an Anglo-Saxon Extravaganza Day at BMAG that will take place on February 16th 2012. They are making up “mock” Hoard finds in soil blocks. Kids will be able to use the same tools that they use on Hoard artefacts to remove the dirt and find what lies beneath. Of course there won’t be any gold!

There will also be Anglo-Saxon soldiers prowling around BMAG on February 16th, a specialist in medieval metal work giving demonstrations and you have the chance to get a genuine (okay, I mean fake) battle scar! Find out more on the BMAG website.
